She Goes into the Room is a book design project for a documentary archive that addresses poverty, violence, and inequality, compiled from testimonies of homeless women together with the Homeless Action Life History Team. It captures the social conditions and lived experiences of homeless women from multiple viewpoints. The visual identity draws motifs from shared places and everyday objects featured in their testimonies. Reinterpreting the women’s own drawings and handwriting, the design reflects the rough texture of handwritten posters found across homeless encampments.
