We All Have Hearts is a book design project for a Humanitas essay that explores the emotional struggles of animals, addressing the healing process and coexistence between humans and non-human beings. It conveys the message that animals' emotional worlds are fundamentally interconnected with our own. The visual concept takes the author’s dog, Oliver, as its central motif. Upon closer inspection, the illustrations reveal subtle traces of a dog coping with separation anxiety. Illustrator Miok Hwang captured the author’s warm, delicate gaze toward animals through detailed pencil drawings.
